Hunter Regional Plan

The Department would like to thank the Hunter community, local councils, community groups, and peak bodies for taking the time to comment on the Draft Hunter Regional Plan and the Draft Plan for Growing Hunter City.

We have carefully reviewed and considered all submissions and feedback to inform the development of this final Plan.

The Hunter Regional Plan 2036 features four key goals:
• a strong economy
• protecting the natural environment
• creating thriving communities
• greater housing choice and jobs.

We invite you to view the final Plan, Implementation Plan, and Consultation Report at www.planning.nsw.gov.au/hunter

We will continue to work with the community, councils and a range of stakeholders to ensure that the delivery of this Plan meets the needs of the people living in the Hunter.
