State Environmental Planning Policy (Mining, Petroleum Production and Extractive Industries) Amendment (Coal Seam Gas) 2013

The NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure sought feedback on maps which showed the application of CSG exclusion zones to additional residential land across NSW; maps that showed the location of additional strategic agricultural land across the State; and revised maps of the critical industry clusters in the Upper Hunter region.

The maps for these areas are located at www.planning.nsw.gov.au/srlup

An amendment has been made to the State Environmental Planning Policy (Mining, Petroleum Production and Extractive Industries) 2007 (Mining SEPP) that will safeguard these mapped areas from the potential impacts of new mining and coal seam gas activity.
