Proposed amendment to parking provisions for boarding houses: ARHSEPP

No, but I still don't believe that the Planning Minister's proposed
amendment tor 0.5 parking space per boarding house room is nearly
enough! The developers building these boarding houses should have to
provide 1.0 x (one) parking space per room. In Gladesville there is NO
train station so apart from walking these boarding house residents
will either need to use a car or catch a bus to get around. I would
like to see a survey results for any Sydney suburban area (not inner
city!) with no train service that indicates 50% of boarding house
dwellers don't have a car will walk or catch a bus to work and social
activities? Even with the Minister's proposed amendment (i.e 0.5 space
P/Room ) will no doubt still mean several less parking spaces for the
much neglected current local residents.Especially in area with so many
other major building developments under construction!
