Revised Sydenham to Bankstown Corridor Urban Renewal Corridor Strategy

Title: Congestion on Canterbury Road near Canterbury Station.

With more than 50% of the apartments around Canterbury Station and along Charles Street already completed, we are seeing massive traffic congestion all along Canterbury Road from the Crinan St end right through the Cooks River to Wonga St end at all times of the day. Having installed a no right turn sign from Canterbury Road into Charles Street hasn't stopped vehicles turning right to go into Woolworths. I think along this Sydeham to Bankstown route, Canterbury must one of the first stations to have new apartments completed ahead the Metro station upgrades and already the traffic cannot cope. If road infrastructure is not improved in line with Metro upgrade traffic congestion will get much worse when new residents take up the area around Canterbury Station. Please do something to improve the traffic congestion around Canterbury Station area.
