Nicole McGregor , of  STROUD NSW, made the following submission on the project:

Change to mining policy

It's time to stop allowing big polluters to lobby governments into submission and allowing them to destroy forests, habitats, farmland, waterways and townships

There is no need for Rio Tinto expansion China and Japan are not buying coal they are investing in Green Technology

Turning our country into a quarry for the rest of the world is embarrassing.

There has just been a dam collapse in the Blue Mountains flowing into a river. We have had a gas leak at Gloucester by AGL.

I want wind turbines on my property and solar panels in the paddock so that I can benefit from these commodities when we hit drought this helps sustain the viability of your land and provides another income.

What I'd like to know is how many mining magnates live near their mines?

How much royalties do they receive and tax benefits

Why governments still supporting mining when it's collapsing?

It's not viable the rest of the world knows this apparently but not us....
