Change to mining policy

Firstly I would like to congratulate and thank Minister Rob Stokes for repealing the resource significance clause in the NSW Mining SEPP. It is an important first step in improving mining laws in NSW, but there is still lots of work to do to restore balance for the people who live on the land and for the land itself. Please also repeal Clause 12AB. We need more stringent air quality and noise controls and we do not want the Major Projects Offset policy that would allow Rio Tinto to get away with clearing the Warkworth Sands Woodland for their mine. I thank you for what you have done so far. Well done and please keep up the good work.
